Bickford Smith - New clubhouse

During the 2014 season the clubs executive committee, lead by chairman Alan Odgers, began to look at the possible development of the site at Bickford Smith. The committee agreed that the existing clubhouse was dated and no longer fulfilled are needs and requirements.

Over the course of the season a feasibility study was put together which highlighted that we should look to remove our existing changing rooms and then build a brand new clubhouse with changing rooms in its place.

Following on from this we commissioned TBS architects in Pool to produce a set of full plans for the new building which would be single height as well as complying with building regulations and disabled requirements. These were put together and, after the membership had agreed to them, we applied to Cornwall county council for planning permission.

On March 25th 2015, we received notice that our application had been approved and we are now trying to obtain funding to help us move the project forward.
